National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL)
If your planned destinations are within England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland then all you need is the National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL).
This licence will permit you to fly, during the daytime, in British airspace and with up to 3 passengers. It is the cheapest route to obtaining a pilots licence that has been available for many years.
This course is offered over a minimum of 32 hours and consists of ground school and flying school, with examinations covering all aspects.
You'll start your flight training becoming familiar with the aircraft. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors you'll soon learn the skills you need to take off, fly and land safely.
Ground school covers all the theoretical knowledge you will need, such as Principles of Flight, Navigation, Flight Planning and Air Law.
> Trial Flights count towards the flying time required for this licence.
> The minimum age for receiving training is 14.
